The gite is a three storey well modernised farmhouse retaining many if the original beams. It can be let as a two or three bedroom property sleeping either 3+2 or 5+2. The extra two on a choice of comfortable sofabeds. There is private outside sitting area and barbecue and use can be made of the owner’s large swimming pool. Children are welcome and dogs by arrangement. Clients should be aware however, that this is a working smallholding with a farm next door, so young children will need to be supervised as there are a few of the usual rural hazards such as animals, machinery, water containers  in the surrounding area and there is a small river nearby. 

The big wide valley is bathed in sunlight for many months of the year, and invariably blue skies. The large swimming pool is in the sun for twelve hours a day during the summer months. The pool is set in a large fenced and gated area of lawn and terrace and has an alarm system, but we do require that all children are accompanied in the pool area by a responsible adult who can swim, Trees provide cool shaded areas. Outdoor furniture and a barbecue are available for client’s exclusive use. 

Downstairs the accommodation consists of  an American  kitchen that is well equipped with cooking utensils, electric rings and microwave oven in the dining area.  There is a separate area with sink and dishwasher The sitting room is furnished with comfortable easy chairs and sofas - one of which converts to a double bed.  There is also a shower room with toilet, washbasin and large walk-in shower, affording a plentiful stream  of hot water. There is plenty of stoarage space.

The first floor has a pleasant south facing single bedroom with pine furniture which overlooks the drive and orchards. If the gite is to be rented as a three bedroom house there is a luxury ensuite bedroom and bathroom comprising a double bed, hanging cupboard, chests and bath with shower, vanity unit and toilet. These overlook the fields and woods.

The top floor family room is a light airy converted attic. It well decorated and furnished with 2 single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers, table and chairs and a sofa that converts into a double bed. There is also an ensuite toilet and vanity unit.

A large wood burning stove heats the whole house in winter, even throughout the night, with back up radiators if necessary in very cold weather. The stove can also be used for cooking.

All rooms are supplied with good quality cotton bed linen and towels all of which are changed weekly.  Pool towels by arrangement.

Hairdryer, music centre, television that will play DVDs though not receiving UK television, shortwave radio are all supplied in the gite and a good supply of books and DVDs are available on request.  Broadband available in the owner’s office by arrangement.

Cot, cradle, changing mat and high chair can all be made available by prior arrangement.

Washing can be done by arrangement and garden produce and new laid eggs are available from the smallholding. There is freezer space available.

The barns adjoining the gite have been sympathetically converted into the owners living area. There are four acres of field and woodland surrounding the smallholding.
